cultural concept describing a social norm in the nordic counties- especially Denmark and norway. It discourages people from thinking they are better, smarter, or more important than others

Social arena where people compete for resources, status and opportunities. SIE’s moving abroad mean entering a new field with different rules and expectations. Returning home means re-enetering another field that may changed while they were away.
Capital
Broader concept of capital, which extends beyond money. The more capital you have the better chance you have of earning more.

You have to develop a specific career habitus e.g if you work in a bank you have to dress a certain way. Need to develop certain skills. During a lengthy period abroad expatriates often adapt their Habitus. They are 2 types Global and Career
