Literary Classification

Genre
A category of writing defined by its style, form, or content, including types like Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, and Drama.
Poetry
A concentrated form of linguistic expression often characterized by its use of meter, rhyme, and other formal elements.
Flash Fiction
A condensed narrative form that tells a complete story in a very short length, focusing on essential elements.
Contextual Classification
A type of literary classification that considers the historical or cultural context of a literary work.
Prose
A direct and unadorned form of language that encompasses written or spoken words in ordinary usage.
Protagonist
The main character in a story, often faced with a conflict that drives the narrative.
Antagonist
A character or force that opposes the protagonist in a story, often creating conflict.
Theme
The central idea or underlying message of a literary work, often explored through characters and plot.
