Spirit Level

Trammel Points
A measuring tool used for drawing large circles.
Marking Gauge
This tool is used to mark a line (using the point) parallel to the edge of a piece of wood. It is mainly used when marking out wood work joints.
Marking Knife or Utility Knife
Used to mark (score) lines across wood, it will benefit when cutting and chiseling so that the timber will not tear away. Particularly useful when marking out accurate joints

A sharp-pointed tool for marking wood or metal.

A tool used in the building trades to make a straight line on a vertical surface.
