how does color blindness occur
some cone cells in the eye fail to produce the protein that responds to light
what is the most common color blindness
red-green
it is recessive X-linked chromosome
why is it harder for women to be color blind rather than men
because women have two X chromosomes the need two recessive alleles for the color blindness to be apparent
why is it easier for men to be color blind rather than women
because they only have one X chromosome, so if there is a small chance they may be colorblind, and recieve the recessive allele, they are color blind
what is an autosomal disorder
gene if affected within one of the first 22 chromosomes
what is a sex- linked disorder
the gene is affected within the last (23) chromosome (gametes)

where the blood doesnt clot normally because it lacks sufficient blood-clotting proteins
what is a treatment for hemophilia
regular replacement of the specific clotting factor that is reduced
how does a person develop hemophilia
when a persons immune system attacks clotting factors in the blood
what are factors that can allow a person to acquire hemophilai
pregnancy
autoimmune conditions

where does cystic fibrosis occur
mutation on chromosome 7
