Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)

Citizenship
The status of being a member of a state, along with associated duties and obligations.
Democratic Governance
A system of government where principles of democracy such as free elections and citizen participation are applied.
Political Ideologies
Sets of beliefs about politics and government, including Communalism, Feudalism, Capitalism, Socialism, and others.
Legislature
The branch of government responsible for making laws, consisting of a body of representatives.
Executive
The branch of government responsible for implementing laws and overseeing the administration of the government.
Judiciary
The branch of government responsible for interpreting laws and administering justice.
Unitary System
A system of governance where power is centralized in a single authority.
Federal System
A system of governance that divides power between a central government and regional governments.
Pressure Groups
Organizations formed to influence government policy and decision-making.
Public Opinion
The collective attitudes and beliefs of individuals on political issues.
Civil Service
A body of government employees entrusted with the administration of public services.
Nationalism
A political ideology that emphasizes the interests and culture of a nation.
Electoral Commission
An independent agency responsible for overseeing and managing elections.
Non-Alignment Policy
A foreign policy stance of not aligning with major power blocs during the Cold War.
Constitutional Development
The process of creating and evolving a constitution to guide governance.
