How should money be rounded?

To the nearest cent (can be up or down)

How should drops be rounded?

To the nearest whole number (can be up or down)

How should un-scored tablets, capsules, suppositories, charts, and etc be rounded IF not enough ingredient to make another dosage?

DOWN to the whole number (72.9 → 73)

How should un-scored tablets, capsules, suppositories, charts, and etc be rounded IF active ingredient is REQUIRED for therapeutic blood concentration?

UP to the whole number (72.2 → 73)

When should partial tsp and tbsp be reported? How should it be rounded?

Only IF explicitly requested. In that case round to whatever increment is specified on the question.

What if questions about tsp and tbsp have no explicit instructions in a question on how to round?

MUST round up or down to whole number. Decimals are PROHIBITED

How should time be rounded IF dosage is being considered?

DOWN to a whole number

• Ex: How many days will a prescription last? 28.75 days → 28 days

How should time be rounded if dosage IS NOT being considered?

Express hours and minutes in AT LEAST 3 significant figures

How to round radio strength?

Round to the nearest WHOLE number (up or down)

• Ex: 1: 42.4 → 1: 42

• Ex: 1: 75.7 → 1: 76
