• weak anxious restless confusion

• tachycardia & hypotension

hypoglycemia can cause patient to become

unresponsive or could die

If symptoms do not improve with hypoglycemia what do you do?

15/15 rule

check blood sugar again in 15 minutes and give 15 grams of glucose

SEVERE HYPOGLYCEMIA (unconscious)

glucagon converts

hepatic glycogen to glucose
