Naval Construction Group TWO (NCG 2) Mission
To lead, man, train, equip, and sustain the Atlantic Seabees and other assigned expeditionary units to support Naval, Joint and Combined Operations.
TWENTY-SECOND Naval Construction Regiment (22 NCR) Mission
To exercise command and control of Naval Construction Force (NCF) assigned units and oversee operational employment and logistics support in EUCOM, AFRICOM, and CENTCOM areas of operation.
Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) Mission
To organize, man, train, equip and sustain Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces to execute combat, combat support, and combat service support missions across naval, joint and combined operations.
Adaptive Force Packaging
Combining capabilities from multiple NECC units into Standing Task Forces, Mission Specific units, or Crisis Response teams based on supported commander requirements.
NECC Standing Task Forces
Task forces designated as CTF 56, CTF 68, and CTF 75.
NECC Crisis Response Element
A fly away HQ element with multiple NECC Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) geared for augmentation to a Task Force and mission planning.
Seabees
Personnel who provide expeditionary construction and engineering (combat service support) including horizontal/vertical construction and defensive combat capability.
Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB)
Units responsible for Forward Operating Base (FOB) construction, airfield construction, road maintenance, and disaster recovery operations.
Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit (CBMU)
Unit responsible for Fleet hospital set-up/operation, and the maintenance of Forward Operating Bases and camps.
Underwater Construction Team (UCT)
Specialized unit for pier/wharf damage repair, underwater blasting, and diving operations up to a depth of 190feet.
Expeditionary Combat Camera (COMCAM) Mission
To provide rapid deployment visual documentation of military exercises, operations, and contingencies before, during, and after engagements.
Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Mission
To provide forces that eliminate hazards from aviation, surface, ground, improvised, subsurface, and mine ordnance, including diving and demolition services.
Very Shallow Water (VSW) Operations
Advanced-force and pre-assault MCM exploratory and recon operations in the zone of 10−40ft.
Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) Mission
To provide forces for underwater salvage, search, harbor clearance, and emergency underwater ship's husbandry to a maximum depth of 300feet.
Coastal Riverine Force (CRF)
A force that provides port security, harbor defense, High Value Asset (HVA) escort, and maritime infrastructure protection.
CRF Brown Water (Combat Arms) Capabilities
Includes troop insertion/extraction, clandestine ISR, Counter-Insurgency (COIN) inland, and organic JTAC support.
Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command (NEIC) Mission
To conduct centralized planning and oversight of expeditionary intelligence and provide forces that assess, plan, and execute intelligence operations.
Human Derived Intelligence (HDI)
Intelligence obtained via military source operations including interviews, tactical questioning, debriefings, and biometrics.
Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG) Mission
To provide expeditionary logistics forces for transportation, fueling, and supply support, including on/offload of cargo from sealift and pre-positioned ships.
Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB)
The deployable Unit of Action for NAVELSG, composed of surface, air cargo, and fuels companies.
Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center (ECRC)
Oversees the processing, equipping, training, and deployment of over 6,500 Sailors in non-traditional, non-naval expeditionary missions.
Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (EXWDC) Mission
To train Navy Expeditionary Forces in advanced Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) and manage the lifecycle of expeditionary TTPs.
Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA)
Designated Navy Lead Element (CTF 86) support provided to domestic civil authorities in response to requests for assistance during emergencies.
Humanitarian Assistance
Aid and action designed to save lives, alleviate suffering, and reduce the economic and social impact of disasters and crises.
