newton’s first law of motion
an object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in constant motion, unless acted upon by an unbalanced external force.
newton’s second law of motion
the acceleration of an object is directly proportionate to the net force exerted on it, and indirectly proportionate to the objects mass. the force and acceleration are in the same direction.
newtons third law of motion
for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, with action and reaction forces on different objects.
newton’s universal law of gravitation
every object in the universe exerts a gravitational force of attraction on every other object in the universe. the gravitational force between two objects is directly proportionate to the product of their masses and indirectly proportionate to the square of the distance between the two objects.
