What was the Boston massacre and the Boston tea party?

Tax on tea so Custom officials were tarred and feathered,Patriots shouted and threw stones at british soldiers. Soldiers killed 5 people. Sons of Liberty used this as propoganda and spread it to 13 colonies. In 1773, Americans disguised as native Americans and dumped 342 creats of tea into the Boston harbour. Britain then closed harbour until India company was paid back.

What were the 1st shots of the American revolution?

British troops destroyed weapons in concord. Battles of Lexington and concord.

What happened in the continental congress?

George Washington became commander - in-chief of army. Declaration of Independence was 4th July 1776 marked final break with Britain.

Describe the turning point in the war.

1777 Washington kept losing battles and army got smaller. Then Washington defeted Britain twice. Americans forced British army to surrender with help from France. 1781 British Commander was surrounded.
