Contract

A contract is a meeting of minds whereby one binds himself to give something or render some service in favor of another.

Freedom of Contract

Parties may establish terms and conditions they deem convenient, provided these are not contrary to law, morals, good customs, public order, or public policy.

Innominate Contracts

Contracts without a particular name are governed by the parties' stipulations, applicable Civil Code provisions, analogous contracts, and customs.

Mutuality of Contracts

The validity or compliance of a contract cannot be left to the will of only one of the parties.
