What is Emotion?
A personal experience involving a mixture of physiological response, subjective feelings, and expressive behaviors.
What are Subjective Feelings in the context of Emotion?
The inner, personal experience of an emotion, including the way in which we think about an emotion.
What is Expressive Behaviour in the context of Emotion?
Outward observable expressions of behavior which communicate emotions, such as facial expressions, hand gestures, and posture.
What are Physiological Responses in the context of Emotion?
Changes in our bodies when we experience an emotion like heart rate, galvanic skin response, blood pressure and dilated pupils .
What are Basic Emotions?
Emotions that are common across the human species, having characteristic physiological, subjective, and expressive components.

Social/cultural norms, gender, and evolution.
