Real Number
Any number that can be represented on a number line.
Number Line
A line that has three parts: Negative numbers, 0, and Positive numbers, extending infinitely in both directions.
Integer
Any positive or negative whole number, including zero, but not including fractions or decimals.
Rational Number
Any number that can be expressed in the form of a fraction with integers in the numerator and denominator, and as a terminating decimal.
Quotient of 0 divided by a
The result is 0.
Quotient of a divided by 0
The result is undefined.
Terminating Decimal
A decimal that ends after a finite number of digits.
Set of Integers
Includes all whole numbers, both positive and negative, as well as zero.
Negative Infinity
The concept of values less than all real numbers, represented on the left side of the number line.
Positive Infinity
The concept of values greater than all real numbers, represented on the right side of the number line.
