The cost- effective and secure use of information and communication technologies in support of health, as defined by the World health organization (WHO).
Electronic Health (e-Health) literacy
The ability of individuals to seek, find, understand, and appraise health information from electronic resources and apply the knowledge gained or solve a health problem.
Digital Literacy
A component of e-Health literacy that involves mastering the skills to effectively use and access technologies like computers, smartphones, and the internet.
Information Literacy
A component of e-Health literacy focusing on the ability to critically evaluate the credibility and quality of health information online.
Media Literacy
A critical approach to online health information, resembling a detective’s mindset, that empowers individuals to interact with media actively and express themselves creatively.
Communication Literacy
The ability to talk to healthcare professionals through digital tools like email or chat instead of face to face talks.
Self-Efficacy and Motivation
An individual's confidence in using digital tools for health information.
Privacy and Security Awareness
Steps taken to keep health information private and secure while using online apps in accordance with the Data Privacy Law.

Includes easy access to reliable information, telemedicine consultations, tracking fitness via apps, participating in online communities, and accessing electronic health records.
