Boiling point
a bulk phenomenon in which the atmostpheric pressure equalls the vapor pressure of the liquid, causing the liquid to becaome a vapor. Direct to IMF
Surface Tension
A surface phenomenon in which an inward force reduces the surface area of a liquid. This is why like H2O bead up on windows in the rain Derect to IMF.
Capillary Action
Surface Penomenon in which the liquid climbs the walls of the container becasue of IMF. Direct to IMF
Viscosity
the tendency of liquid to resist pouring because of IMF attraction to bulk solution. Direct to IMF
Heat of Vaporation
The energy in IMF that must be overcom for a liquid on the surface to vaporize. Direct to IMF
Vapor Pressure
The pressure of vapor above the surface of a liquid. Inverse to IMF
Evaportation Rate
How quickly a liquid will vaporize form the surface of a liquid. INverse to IMF
