is a systematic process of learning about the world by gathering and analyzing data.

abstract
it refers to a brief summary of the research. it contains the conclusion, the findings, and a short discussion of the problem, method and design.
introduction
this is the main focus of the research, overview of the topic, main points of information, and importance of the topic.This part must provide the purpose and structure of the research. It should be designed to attract readers' attention.
research problem
refers to statement expressed clearly in an interrogative or question form.
research objective
This is a statement of purpose for which the investigation is to be conducted. These are stated in declarative form.
hypothesis
this is an educational intelligent guess. It can be a tentative explanation based on theory to predict a causal relationship between variables.
two types of hypothesis
null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis
null hypothesis
which says that nothing happened. It is a denial of an existence, an attribute, a relationship, a difference of an effect.
alternative hypothesis
it refers to an affirmation of an existence of an observed phenomenon.
theoretical framework
a symbolic construction which uses abstract concepts, facts or laws, variables and their relations that explains and predicts how an observed phenomenon exists and operates.
assumptions
is a basic principle that is being true, on the basis of logic or reason without proof or verification.
significance of the study
refers to the potential importance, relevance, or impact of the research findings.
scope and delimitation of the study
these states the concepts and variables of your study covered.
scope
details what your study will explore, such as the target population, extent, or study duration.
delimitation
are factors and variables not included in the study.
definition of terms
the last part of Chapter 1. it defines all the unfamiliar words that are related in your research.
related readings
the major sources of this are laws and department directives such as circulars, orders, memoranda, and others which are related to the present study.
related literature
it refers to the sources which are taken from books, journals, magazines, novels, poetry, and many others.
related studies
published and unpublished research studies are among the sources included in this section.
research design
it is a framework within which research is conducted.
population
the totality of all individuals having specific characteristics that a researcher is interested in.
sampling techniques
is the process of selecting participants needed to answer the research questions.
research locale
is the place where the research is conducted.
research instrument and techniques
these are measuring instruments which are used for gathering or collecting data. Examples of research instruments include; tests, questionnaires, rating scales, interviews, observation schedule.
data analysis and procedures
is the process of systematically applying statistical and/or logical techniques to describe and illustrate, condense and recap, and evaluate data. (Statistical techniques)

summary of findings
often found at the beginning of a research document, provides a concise and comprehensive overview of the entire study.
recommendation
section suggests actions or steps that can be taken based on the study's findings.
conclusion
section where the researcher summarizes the main findings and interpretations of the study.
reference material
This is also referred to as supplementary materials
bibliographies
this is the information that you used while conducting your research.
list of work cited
These are the websites or previous research that you have used in your research.
references
These are the list of Related Literature and Studies that you have gathered in conducting or in writing our research paper. We always used (APA Format.)
appendices
provides supplementary information, while an index helps readers find information in a document.
indices
alphabetically lists all the major topics, events, people, and places discussed in the book and provides page numbers that direct you to each reference.
glossary
a list of definitions for technical terms used in a research paper or academic book
end notes
are notes that appear at the end of a piece of academic writing. They provide additional information or source citations.
vitae of researchers
a scholarly resume used when applying for jobs in academia or the sciences. It details the applicant's research experience, teaching, and publications.
