Solvent
The substance in which a solute dissolves to form a solution (e.g., water).
Cohesion
The attraction between molecules of the same substance (e.g., water molecules bonding to each other).
Adhesion
The attraction between molecules of different substances (e.g., water molecules adhering to glass).
Polar Molecule
A molecule with an uneven distribution of electrical charges, resulting in partial positive and negative poles.
Suspension
A heterogeneous mixture where particles do not dissolve and remain separate over time.
