Apology
A sincere acknowledgment of having hurt someone, taking responsibility, seeking forgiveness, and working toward reconciliation.
Sincere Apology
An apology that recognizes the pain caused, accepts responsibility, seeks to make amends, and promotes healing and restored relationships.
True Healing
The restoration of relationships through sincere apologies, forgiveness, responsibility, and reconciliation.
Reconciliation
The process of restoring a broken relationship by making peace and resolving conflict.
Restitution
Making amends by asking, "How can I make it right?"
Responsibility
Accepting one's mistakes without making excuses or blaming others.
Regret
Expressing genuine sorrow for one's actions by saying, "I'm sorry."
Plan for Change
A commitment to prevent the same mistake from happening again.
Request for Forgiveness
Humbly asking the offended person for forgiveness.
