What is a primary source?

Direct first hand evidence. Usually in an authoritative tone. Includes interviews, diaries, transcripts, survey results, social media posts, autobiography’s pictures, recordings, eye witnesses

What is a secondary source?

Created using primary sources. They are used to analyze, interpret, and restate. Examples include newspaper, articles, biography’s and journals. Often in a persuasive tone

What is a tertiary source?

Use both primary and secondary sources but does not present any new informations. Examples include references, abstracts, dictionaries, encyclopedias

What is an almanac?

Annual publication containing statistical information and is often arranged according to the calendar. Often used to track weather and astronomical data

What is an atlas?

Book of maps that includes a scale that indicates the ratio of map distance
