Density
Defined as mass divided by volume; SI unit is kg/m³.
SI Units
The International System of Units used for measuring quantities like length, mass, and volume.
Precision
The degree to which repeated measurements under unchanged conditions show the same results.
Vernier Callipers
A measuring instrument used to obtain precise measurements of length.
Micrometer Screw Gauge
An instrument used to measure small distances with high accuracy.
Displacement Method
A technique used to measure the volume of an irregularly shaped object by immersing it in water.
Hooke’s Law
States that the force needed to extend or compress a spring by some distance is proportional to that distance.
Absolute Zero
The lowest possible temperature, 0 Kelvin, where molecular motion stops.
Acceleration
The rate of change of velocity of an object; measured in m/s².
Kinetic Model of Matter
A theory that describes the behavior of matter in terms of particles in motion.
