A set of 12 common prefixes (ap-, at-, į-, iš-, nu-, pa-, par-, per-, pra-, pri-, su-, už-) that can change a verb's meaning, direction, and/or aspect.

Commonly indicates movement into or toward the inside.
Prefix iš-
Commonly indicates movement out or away.
Prefix at-
Commonly indicates movement toward/arrival or coming to a reference point.

Prefix pa-
Commonly indicates a limited/short action or beginning/completion depending on the verb.
Prefix par-
Commonly indicates movement back/again.

Commonly indicates movement toward/up to or arrival/attachment.

įeiti = to enter/go in (prefixed verb); eiti į = to go to/into somewhere (verb + preposition + accusative).
