Diffusion
The movement of particles from a high to a low concentration.
Osmosis
The movement of water from a dilute (high water concentration) to a concentrated (low water concentration) solution through a semi-permeable membrane.
Active Transport
Requires energy- the movement of particles from a low to high concentration through a semi-permeable membrane.
