Sweating (Transpiration)
Sudoriferous (sweat) glands secret moisture onto the skin surface. As this sweat evaporates, it absorbs and carries away body heat, cooling you down.
Vasodilation
Blood vessels near the skin’s surface dilate (widen). This increases blood flow to the skin, allowing heat to radiate out of your body into the surrounding air.
