What is movement?
An action caused by an organism or a part of organism that results in change of place or position.
What is locomotion?
The organism’s ability to move from one place to another.
What is respiration?
The chemical breakdown of nutrient (glucose) molecules to release energy for metabolic processes like muscle contraction, protein-synthesis and creation of nerve impulses.
What is sensitivity (and response)?
The ability to detect changes in external and internal environment (and respond accordingly).
What is growth?
Permanent increase in size and dry mass.
What is dry mass?
Mass (of whatever is in question) without the water content.
