Melotron

Early rock n roll. Many consider "Maybellene" the first true rock n roll song. Mix of blues and R & B sound. Clever lyricist.
The Beatles
Were established in Europe and UK before popularity in America. Started as performing band. Went through different stylistic periods. Used 12 bar blues structure, string quartet, counterpoint, sitar. Started the british invasion of music into America.

Inspired and influenced by use of drugs. Used feedback, electronics, extended solos. Usually some trippy visuals played during band's performance.
Acid Rock
Helped start psychedelic rock phase. heavy, distorted guitars, long improvised jams. Intended to enhance hallucinogenic experience.

Electric Guitar
It uses one or more pickups to convert the vibration of its strings into electrical signals, which ultimately are reproduced as sound by loudspeaker. Became one of the main insturments in most rock music.
Cover Versions
Artist redoing a song already written in their own style.
Overdubbing
To add in another instrument or vocal track into a song to complete or enhance. People could record at separate times, one bad player in a band could be replaced without redoing the whole song.
Synthesizer
Can generate and modify sounds. Used in all kinds of music especially rock.Can fill out the sound, be added into songs.
Medley
Multiple songs that can be overlapped or mashed together to create one musical piece.
