Describe the A2D

  1. You measure the amplitude of the analogue wave at a given point in time, these are called samples.

  2. These samples can then generate a value that can be represented in binary and stored.

  3. Using these samples the computer is able to store a digital version of the analogue wave

  4. It is then stored on secondary storage and can be played back at any time by reversing the process.
