Personality disorders, cluster A:

Characterized by odd eccentric thinking and/or behavior

Ex:

paranoid personality disorder,

schizoid personality disorder (detachment from relationships and emotional expressions)

Schizotypal personality disorder (odd behavior, inappropriate reactions to situations)

Personality disorders, cluster B

Characterized by dramatic overly emotional thinking and or behavior

Ex:

Antisocial (sociopathic) personality disorder (persistent lying, stealing, violence, and lack of regard for others)

Borderline personality disorder(impulsive, volatility and fear of being alone)

Histrionic personality disorder (excessive emotions and constant seeking of attention and approval)

Narcissistic personality disorder;belief in superiority and faliur to recognize others emotions)

Personality disorder, cluster C

Characterized by anxious, fearful thinking and or behavior,

EX:

Avoidant personality disorder (social isolation, feeling inadequatezc extremely timidity and shyness)

Dependent personality disorder (Excessive dependence, submission and tolerance of mistreatment )

Obsessive compulsive personality disorder (extreme inflexibility and desire to control situations)

Somatoform disorders

Mental disorders that become physical disorders, experiencing real physical pain symptoms but medical tests can’t find a clear physical cause

EX

conversion disorder (blindness, hearing loss, paralysis or numbness, of which the cause can not be traiced medically)

Hypochondria

Pain disorder (pain without a physical explanation)

Body dysmorphic disorder (obsessed with a mirror or imagined physical defect)
