Interphase
The cell grows, makes organelles, and copies it’s DNA.
Prophase
The nucleus disappears, chromosomes form, and spindle fibres appear.
Metaphase
Chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell.
Anaphase
Sister chromatids are pulled apart to opposite sides.
Telophase
Now nuclei form around the chromosomes at each end
Cytokinesis
The cell splits into two cells, each with the same DNA.
