  • Flat Bones joined by fibrous tissuse

  • Ex. Skull

Explain slightly movable joints/articulations

• Bounded by fibrous cartilage (strong)

• sydemeosis

  • Parallel bones that are connected by fibrous membrane/sheet or intersseccous ligaments

  • Ex. Legs

Explain highly movable joints

• Bony ends with hyaline cartilage

• Ex. Synovial

  • Surrounded by a capsule that is filled with fluid

  • Most joints in the body are synovial

  • Ex. Knee joint
