Checklist usage
Utilizes checklists as a habit and verifies the checklist if done from memory.
Normal/crosswind takeoff and climb standards
Maintains takeoff power and Vy +10/−5knots.
Use of trim
Uses trim as appropriate, applying it after setting the desired pitch and power.
Maneuvering during slow flight standards
Maintains altitude ±150feet, heading ±10∘, airspeed +10/−0knots, and bank ±10∘.
Stall recovery procedure
Recognizes and recovers promptly by simultaneously reducing the angle of attack and increasing power.
Basic instrument maneuvers (IR) standards
Maintains altitude ±200feet, heading ±15∘, and airspeed ±10knots.
180° turn (IR) standards
Maintains altitude ±200feet, heading ±15∘, and airspeed ±10knots.
Ground reference maneuver standards
Maintains altitude ±150feet and airspeed ±10knots.
Traffic patterns standards
Maintains altitude ±150feet and airspeed ±10knots.
Go-around/rejected landing procedure
Makes a timely decision to discontinue the approach, applies takeoff power immediately, transitions to climb pitch attitude for Vy, and maintains Vy +10/−5knots.
