slope zero
A line has a slope of zero when it does not have any vertical rise. It will be a straight horizontal line
general form
a standardized way of expressing mathematical equations or expressions that allows for easy identification and manipulation of their underlying structure.
slope intercept form
the way of writing the equation of a line so that the slope (steepness) and y-intercept (where the line crosses the vertical y-axis) are immediately apparent.
slope undefined
for horizontal lines the slope is zero. But for vertical lines. We have an undefined slope you could think of it as one over zero
vertical lines equation
is generally expressed as x = a, where a is the x-coordinate of all points on the line.
slope
is the measure of the steepness or inclination of a line, typically represented as the ratio of the vertical change to the horizontal change between two points on the line.
slope positive
occurs when a line rises from left to right, indicating that as the x-value increases, the y-value also increases.
horizontal lines
equation is expressed as y = b, where b is the y-coordinate of all points on the line.
slope negative
occurs when a line falls from left to right, indicating that as the x-value increases, the y-value decreases.
