What do IN1 and IN2 control?
They control the direction/state of the left motor (Channel 1).
What do IN3 and IN4 control?
They control the direction/state of the right motor (Channel 2).
What do OUT1 and OUT2 connect to?
They connect to the two terminals of the left motor.
What do OUT3 and OUT4 connect to?
They connect to the two terminals of the right motor.
What does EN1&2 do?
It enables or disables Channel 1, controlling whether the left motor can operate.
What does EN3&4 do?
It enables or disables Channel 2, controlling whether the right motor can operate.
What does "EN" mean on the L293D?
Enable.
It determines whether the motor channel is active.
What does "IN" mean?
Input.
The IN pins receive control signals from the Arduino.
What does "OUT" mean?
Output.
The OUT pins connect to the motor terminals.
