Chasity:
The virtue by which we use our human sexuality in a responsible and faithful way.
How did Jesus modeled Chasity?
By following the ten Commandments faithfully and completely. In all he did, Jesus showed love for God and others.
What is the sixth Commandment?
“You shall not commit adultery”.
What does the sixth Commandment mean?
It calls us to honor the love and faithfulness shared by a husband and wife and teaches us about the love we are called to have a for ourselves, our family and our friends. The need to respect and be in control of our bodies and the proper way to show our feelings.
What does God asks us with the Sixth Commandment?
He asks us to be good and faithful friends to the people in our lives. Through the Sixth Commandment, it asks us to express love in all of our relationships in the proper way.
Matrimony
A sacrament in which a husband and wife make a promise to love, honor and be faithful to each other for the rest of their lives.
Why is the Sixth Commandment important in Matrimony?
The Sixth Commandment protects the marriage vows of loyalty and faithfulness between a husband and a wife.
