Glucose

Starch
energy storage in plants, found in roots and seeds

Glycogen
stored in liver + muscle, glucose decrease, breaks w/ hydrolysis to become glucose

Cellulose
made by plants, make up use of cell wall, glucose molecules inverted

Chitin
found in fungal cell wall, exoskele of arthopods

Phospholipids
consist of glycerol, two fatty acids, one phosphate group

Amino acids
create protiens, enzymes, polypeptides

Primary Protein Structure
amino acid chain sequence, effected by mutations

Secondary Protein Structure
hydro bonding along peptide backbone cause alpha helix/beta sheet folding

Tertiary Protein Structure
3D folding pattern due to side chain interactions (chem connections between R-groups determining teritary or quaternary)

Quaternary Protein Structure
more than one amino acid chain/tertiary structure
Nucleic Acid Monomers
Cytosine, Thymine, Guanine, Adenine, Uracil
DNA
two helix

RNA
one helix, uses uracil
