Conformity
The act of changing one's behavior or beliefs to match those of a group.
Deviance
The violation of social or cultural norms.
Bayanihan
An example of Filipino culture where people voluntarily help one another.
Compliance
The weakest form of conformity where a person follows the group publicly but privately disagrees.
Identification
The type of conformity where a person imitates someone they admire.
Internalization
The strongest form of conformity where a person genuinely accepts the beliefs of a group.
Situational factors
Factors referring to the influence of the environment or situation on a person's behavior.
Individual factors
Factors that include self-confidence, leadership, and personality.
Cultural factors
Factors referring to the influence of traditions and beliefs on conformity.
