Hero as Warrior
A near god-like hero that faces physical challenges and external enemies
Hero as Lover
A hero that is motivated by true love to complete his quest to find/save a girl/princess
Hero as Scapegoat
A hero that suffers in order to save others or society/the world
The Transcendent Hero
A hero of tragedy whose flaws bring about his/her own downfall, but not before he/she achieves some transforming realization or wisdom

A hero who exaggerates the normal proportions of humanity; frequently has divine or super human origin/powers. In some sense, they do not belong, but is needed by society.
