Cell Wall

Ridgid outer covering of plant algae,fungi,and most bacteria. Composed of cellulose.Protect and support cells

Cell Membrane

Thin protective layer surrounding all cells.Allow water and other materials to pass through it.

Cytoplasm

Jellylike substance within all cells.Provide support.

Nucleus

Found only in eukaryotic cells.Contain all info for cell to live.Directs all cell activites.

Mitochandria

Releases energy for use by cell.Found in both plant and animal cells.

Cholorplasts

Contain choloryphll,which undergoes photosenthysis to make the sugar glucose,which is a form of energy.Found in plant cells only

Endoplasmic Reticulum

Process and move materials around cell.Rough ER=has ribosomes.Smooth ER=no ribosomes

Golgi Bodies

Sort proteins and other cell substances and packages them in vesicels.Delivers the vesicels within or out of the cell.

Ribosomes

Can be found in cytoplasm or on ER.Make proteins.

Lysosomes

Contain enzymes that break down and recycle waste material.

Vacuole

Storage facility.Can store water,waste,food,or other cell materials. In plant cells,the vacuole can be almost the entire cell.

Cytoskeleton

Found within cytoplasm.Made of thin,hollow, tubes.Allows cell to maintain or change shape.Allow amoebas to move.Found in animal cells
