What is amp sims?

  • Amplifier Modelling/Simulation

  • A common form of distortion that is used in DAWs.

  • This plugin simulates the sound of a real amplifier using software processing.

  • Although completely digital, emulates the analogue signal path of a real amplifier.

  • This means that when the input gain is turned up, it starts to distort.
