What is amp sims?
Amplifier Modelling/Simulation
A common form of distortion that is used in DAWs.
This plugin simulates the sound of a real amplifier using software processing.
Although completely digital, emulates the analogue signal path of a real amplifier.
This means that when the input gain is turned up, it starts to distort.
Explain what the gain does in the amp sim.
By turning up the gain and compensating the output by turning the master down, you can create distortion.
