Liquidity

A condition of globalization characterized by continuous flows of liquid phenomena, including people, objects, decisions, information, and places.

Heavy (Globalization Metaphor)

A metaphor characterizing pre-industrial and industrial societies by that which is difficult to move.

Light (Globalization Metaphor)

A metaphor describing an era where advances in transportation and technology made goods, people, and places lighter and easier to move.

Weightless (Globalization Metaphor)

A metaphor defining the current era of globalization that approaches weightlessness beyond mere lightness.
