How did the first revelation occur
27th Ramadan 610 AD
Angel Gabriel appeared and asked the Prophet to read
The Prophet replied: “I cannot read”
The Angel suffocated him and asked again but the Prophet repeated the same answer
Again came a threat of suffocation; To which the Prophet asked
“What do you want me to read?” out of fear
What did Angel Gabriel ask the Prophet to read in the first Revelation
“Read in the name of your lord and cherisher, who created man, out of a mere clot of blood. Proclaim! And your lord is most bountiful, he who is taught by pen. Taught the man that which who knew not”
