Titration
A technique used to determine the concentration of a solution (analyte) by reacting it with a solution of known concentration (titrant).
Buret
A graduated glass tube with a tap at one end, for delivering known volumes of a liquid, especially in titrations.
Erlenmeyer flask
A flask with a conical base and a cylindrical neck, useful for mixing liquids by swirling without risk of spillage, used in titrations.
Pipet
A laboratory tool commonly used to transport a measured volume of liquid.
Fenolftaleïne
A chemical compound used as a pH indicator, often used in titrations because it is colorless in acidic solutions and pink in basic solutions.
Molarity (mol/L)
A unit of concentration, defined as the number of moles of solute per liter of solution.
Volume Percent (m/V%)
Expresses the concentration of a solution as the volume of solute per 100 mL of solution.
NaOH
Sodium hydroxide, a strong base whose concentration is determined through titration with a standard acid solution.
HCl
Hydrochloric acid, the titrant used to determine the concentration of the NaOH solution.
