Origin: Nuchal Ligament and spinous Process of C7-T3

Insertion: Superior border of ribs 2-4

Innervation: 2nd-5th Intercostal Nerve

Action: Proprioception and elevate ribs

Levator Costorum

Origin: Transverse process of C7-T11

Insertion: Subjacent ribs between tubercle and angle

Innervation: Dorsal primary rami of C8-T11

Action: Elevate ribs

Intercostals

Origin: Inferior Border of ribs

Insertion: Superior border of rib below

Innervation: Intercostal nerves

Action: Elevate and depress ribs during respiration

Origin: Internal Surface of lower ribs
