Anthropology
The study of Humanity.
Sociology
The study of human relationship along with human society and interaction.
Political Science
The study of state, government and politics.
Ethnicity
The state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition; cultural characteristics that define a person as being a member of a specific group.
Exceptionality
Refers to individuals whose physical, behavioral, or cognitive performance is so different from the norm that additional services are required to meet the individual's needs.
Socio-economic Status
The position of an individual or group on the socioeconomic scale determined by factors such as income, education, occupation, residence, and ethnic/religious background.
Upper Class
People who have great wealth and sources of income with high reputation in terms of power and prestige.
Middle Class
People who may belong to upper middle class (businessmen and professionals) or lower-middle class (teachers, clerks, etc.).
Lower Class
People at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder, categorized into upper-lower and lower-lower class.

Race (Macionis, 2003)
A socially constructed category composed of people who share biologically transmitted traits that members of society consider important.
Caucasoid
A racial category characterized by fair skin, light colored straight or wavy hair, round eyes, a high nose bridge, and origin in the Americas and Europe.
Mongoloid
A racial category characterized by yellowish skin, straight black hair, almond-shaped eyes, low to medium nose bridge, and origin in Asia.
Negroid
A racial category characterized by dark skin, curly black hair, large round eyes, low nose bridge, and origin in Africa.
Gender
Refers to personal traits and social positions that members of a society attach to being female and male.
Religion
A belief system that emphasizes the supernatural being; considered a universal culture pattern since all people have some kind of religion.
Social Change
The modification and alteration of a pattern of behaviour, social structure, social organization and social institution.
Political Identity
An association with a group affiliation describing the way in which being a member of a group might express specific political opinions and attitude.
