testis
Primary male sex organ; paired, oval-shaped, inside the scrotum; produces spermatozoa and testosterone.
seminiferous tubules
Approximately 900 coiled tubules within the testes where spermatogenesis occurs.

Male germ cell; fertilizes the ovum to form a zygote that develops into an embryo.
testosterone
Principal male sex hormone; stimulates development of male reproductive organs and secondary sexual characteristics.
epididymis
Coiled duct attached to each testis where sperm mature, are stored, and transported; continuous with the vas deferens.
vas deferens
