Cartilage
A tough yet flexible connective tissue that provides structural support in various parts of the body.
Hyaline cartilage
Tough yet flexible; found in the front of the nose, trachea, and larynx.
Elastic cartilage
The most elastic type of cartilage; contains many elastic fibers; found in the outer ear and epiglottis.
Fibrocartilage
The toughest type of cartilage; found in the pubic symphysis and intervertebral discs.
