Chords starting from the tonic of the chord with 2 notes above, a third (qualities differ) apart each
Major triads
Triads where the middle note is a major third above the tonic and the top note is a perfect fifth above the tonic (M)
Minor triads
Triads where the middle note is a minor third above the tonic and the top note is a perfect fifth above the tonic (m)
Diminished triads
Triads where the middle note is a minor third above the tonic and the top note is a diminished fifth (tritone) above the tonic (d)
