Cornea
Clear, convex shaped covering that protects the front of the eye and helps to focus incoming light.
Aqueous Humor
Clear, watery fluid that circulates in the front of the eye, delivering oxygen and nutrients and maintaining constant pressure.
Iris
The colored part of the eye, a ring of smooth muscles that dilate or constrict to change the size of the pupil.
Pupil
Disc shaped hole in the center of the iris that allows light to enter the eye.
Lens
Responsible for focusing light, changes shape using ciliary muscles to focus on objects.
Vitreous Humor
Clear, jelly-like substance that fills the eye, helping it maintain its shape and further focuses the light.
Retina
Thin, light-sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye that receives and processes light signals.
Optic Nerve
Bundle of nerve fibers carrying visual information from the eye to the brain.
