NYA (The National Youth Administration)

EBRA (Emergency Banking Relief Act)

Aimed at staballizing the banking system during the Great Depression, it authorized the Treasury Department to inspect and potentially close struggling banks, restored public confidence in the banking system, and paved the way for further banking reforms (relief)

FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation)

Restored public confidence in the banking system during the Great Depression, it was established by the Banking Act of 1933 and insures deposits in banks up to a certain, currently $250,000 per depositer, per ownership category, this insurance protects depositors from losses if a bank fails (reform)

SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission)

Regulates the securities industry and restore investor confidence, it aimed to prevent future stock market crashes and market manipulations, protect investors, and ensure fair dealing in securities markets, and prevent fraud (reform)

FDCA (Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act)

Aimed to address the economic and social problems of the Great Depression by bolstering consumer protection and regulating industries like food and drug manufacturing

AAA (Agricultural Adjustment Act)

Aimed to reduce agricultural surpluses and raise crop prices by paying farmers subsidizes to limit production (reform)

TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority)

Aimed to improve navigation, control floods, generate electricity, and promote economic development through infrastructure projects like dams and power plants (recovery)

SSA (Social Security Act)

Created a federal system of old-age insurance, unemployment insurance, and public assistance for the disabled, poor families, and mothers with dependent children (relief)
