Student (SPT)

Student enrolled in CAPTE-accredited developing physical therapist professional education program

Site Coordinator of Clinical Education (SCCE)

Professional who administers, manages, and coordinates clinical assignments and learning activities for students during clinicals. Determines readiness of preceptors and CIs

Director of Clinical Education (DCE)

Academic faculty member responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating the clinical education program for the academic institution (Janice and Tara).

Clinical Instructor (CI)

The physical therapist responsible for the PT student and for directly instructing, guiding, supervising, and formally assessing the student during clinical education experience.
