Gyrus
A ridge or fold between two clefts on the cerebral surface in the brain.
Sulcus
A groove or furrow on the brain's surface, between lobes.

A wide band of white matter connecting the left and right hemispheres of the brain.

A clear fluid that surrounds and cushions the brain and spinal cord.
